Ready-to-go restaurant style meals
We have some seasonal staples but we also have other meals which
Dan creates based on the produce that becomes available. They are simple
delicious meals, cooked by Dan in his kitchen, which ensure you and your family eat good quality food made with
as many local ingredients as possible. Just as importantly they save
you time and that's what it's all about.
Some of the meals we currently have available are bolognese sauce, green chicken
curry, red chicken curry, lamb ragout, lamb tagine, turmeric chicken,
vegetable curry & Malaysian chicken satay.
The meals are in cryovac bags which means all you have to do is place the bag in
a pot of simmering water for about 20 minutes. Then serve with rice,
pasta, crusty bread or some fresh greens.
We also have an ever changing selection of salads, soups, ready bakes, poached
fruit & desserts made here in our kitchen for you to take home ...

It's still about saving time. Our approach when choosing what to put in Dan's
Kitchen fridge is to ensure it is of the very best quality and that we know as
much as we can about the company which produces them.
We
always have a selection of Ziggy & Angelika's salmon to include the classic hot
smoked salmon portions, rillettes and the whole baby hot smoked salmon.
Boks
Bacon products to include bacon, speck & prosciutto, The Art of Sausage is also
made by Boks and they have a delicious selection of sausages some of which are
pork & fennel, pork, ginger & sage, lamb with rosemary & garlic and breakfast
bangers. The Art of Sausage use some of the best local meat available to
include Nichols Poultry chicken & turkey, Tasmanian grass feed beef & lamb and
Scottsdale pork.
Nichols Poultry is a family run business and is Tasmania's only 100% free range
poultry producer. The company has their own sustainability programme and
have installed wind turbines to produce power and help reduce the carbon
footprint through the use of renewable wind energy. Dan's Kitchen uses
Nichols chickens in the butterflied chickens (coriander &
chilli and lemon, garlic & parsley), marinated breasts with skin on & bone in
(rosemary, garlic & lemon and basil & garlic) and whole chickens (rosemary,
garlic & lemon marinade). Dan's Kitchen use Nichols chickens in all the
ready-to-go restaurant style meals. We also stock their whole chickens, breasts
& thighs.
Clover Country Meats is situated at the foothills of the Dial Range in the midst
of the rich farmlands of the North West coast of Tasmania and just 10 minutes
drive from the coastal town of Ulverstone.
Greenham Tasmania Natural Beef are fed on the cleanest natural grasses and are
guaranteed to be tender and of the highest eating quality. It is
completely free of hormone growth promotants, antibiotics and is GMO free.
Greenham Tasmania is a family owned business with six generations of involvement
in the meat industry. We stock a selection of cuts of meat.
Woodbridge Smokehouse produces some of the most mouth-watering and luxuriant
smoked Ocean Trout available. We stock 100g and 200g packets of the hand
sliced ocean trout.
Mount Gnomon Farm rests against the Dial Range in north-west Tasmania. The farm specialises in free range Wessex Saddleback pigs, a rare
breed that produces marbled, tasty meat. Guy Robertson & Eliza Wood show
great respect to their animals allowing them to live in a healthy and natural
way. We have Mt Gnomon legs of ham which we slice and
package for your convenience.

bakes and other meat cuts to make a great slow cooked meal ...
