Saturday 3 March: Seasonal salads – join this class to
learn some great shortcuts and amazing ways to prepare some divine salads using
seasonal ingredients.
Saturday 28 April: Dinner in 30 minutes! Use local,
seasonal produce and a few items from the shop and you’ve got a delicious,
nutritious meal.
Saturday 30 June: Pasta & risottos – have you ever looked
on the shelves at all the different types of pasta & rice and wondered how to
maximise this staple? Join this class and
Dan will take you through the varieties and give you some great recipes using
seasonal ingredients and a few other bits & pieces.
Saturday 25 August: Join Daniel & Sally to learn about the art of baking cakes,
pastries & biscuits.
Saturday 13 October: Quick canapes – get ready for summer
entertaining.
Saturday 17 November: How to prepare yourself for the dinner party
This is a hands-on class where you will be in the kitchen
with help from Dan & his team (special class, 4 people only, $300 per person)
Saturday 24 November: Christmas ideas - would you like
some ideas about how to make your Christmas entertaining easier? This class will provide you with
ideas about how to glaze your ham, cook your turkey, interesting seasonings,
dressings and heaps more.

Saturday 17 March: Easter cupcakes
– want a change from chocolate & Easter eggs? This class is all about decorating
cupcakes based on the Easter theme.
Saturday 21 April: Novelty cupcakes
– you can make a cupcake look like anything! A shoe,
plane, car, handbag, animal ... the list is limited only by your imagination.
Saturday 12 May: Macaroon making
– have you tasted one of the ever changing flavoured
macaroons here in the store? They
look so delicate but are brittle to touch and the way they break in your mouth
is amazing, oh and the flavours are incredible
... join this class to learn how to make your own macaroons.
Saturday 23 June: Figurines on cupcakes
– this is one for those of you who’ve done one of Sally’s
classes before.
Saturday 28 July: Kids party cupcakes
– make their day even more special with some uniquely
decorated cupcakes ... imagine the look of delight on their little faces ...
Sunday 19 August: Large cake decorating – this class is a
full day class from 10am – 4pm and includes lunch & beverages.

Saturday 6 October: Spring flowers – learn the art of
creating pretty spring garden flowers using fondant icing as a gorgeous
decoration for your cupcake.

We offer both demonstration style cooking classes and hands-on cake
classes. The classes are an intimate demonstration style where you will have the opportunity to watch, learn and interact with Daniel & Sally Alps. During the class you will be tasting the food being demonstrated. Matching local or international wine/beer tastings shall be served to enhance the flavours of what has been prepared.
In 2012 Daniel is offering a hands-on class
for just 4 people ... you'll come out of this class with everything you
need to know about preparing your next dinner party. This year Sally
offered cupcake classes but with all the requests for
macaroon making & large cake decorating classes these have been added to
the 2012 schedule.

Cooking Demonstrations with Daniel Alps: FAQs
What’s included in the demonstration? The classes are an intimate demonstration style where you
will have the opportunity to watch, learn and interact with Daniel Alps. During
the class you will be tasting the food being demonstrated. Matching local or
international wine/beer tastings will be served to enhance the flavours of what
has been prepared. All participants shall receive the recipes from the class and
10% discount on anything purchased on the day.
How much does it cost?
$100.00 per person all inclusive (incl gst)
except for 17 November hands-on class $300
How long is the demonstration?
We ask that everyone be at Alps & Amici at 3.15pm ready for a 3.30pm start. The class shall conclude about 6.00pm.
How many people in each cooking demonstration? There
will be a maximum of 16 people in each class so get in fast.

How do I pay?
Payment is required at the time of booking – we accept Visa and MasterCard or cash (if you come in to the store).
Cancellation policy? If you cancel more than 3 weeks prior
to the class we can either refund the amount or you can transfer to another
class of your choice. If you cancel within 3 weeks of the class we shall
refund or you can transfer classes only if we are able to resell the place.
We keep a waitlist for all classes and shall do all we can to try and resell the
place. If you cancel within 48 hours of the class there will be no refund
or transfer unless we resell the place.
What if the class I want to attend is full? We shall have a waitlist available for each class.
Group bookings or private classes? If you would like to book your own private cooking class outside the dates we offer please contact us as they are available on request.
Cakes by Alps & Amici classes with Sally Alps: FAQs
Have you been in to the store and seen the amazing special occasion and cupcakes Sally has been creating? Would you like to know how to make them yourselves?
What’s included in the cupcake classes? The classes will be conducted and hosted by Sally and will be hands-on where you will learn how to prepare, cover and decorate fondant icing cupcakes. You will receive the recipes
& detailed decorating instructions from the afternoon and take home the cakes you decorate along with a 10% discount on anything purchased on the day.
How much does it cost?
$100 per person all inclusive (incl gst)
except
for the full day cake decorating class on Sunday 19 August which is $330 per
person.
How long is the demonstration?
